Mak Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Hi,very pleased to have found this forum. I have had a 1.9TDi Galaxy (02 Plate) since it was 11 months old and it has been a great vehicle for the job it was purchased for - namely the school run. To date it has only covered 25k miles (the school is just down the road!) and so far it has never missed a beat. I have just bought its first set of new tyres - I bought Dunlop SP 2020E's 215/55 16 as this is what it had fitted to start with. I am considering bying a new one this year but have no idea what I should sell mine for? Herein is my first question - what is the going rate for such a car? Briefly, the car is in good overall condition. Its a Black 1.9TDi Ghia with grey cloth trim and all the usual trimmings plus the headrest mounted Video monitors (VHS VCR in the boot). Like I mentioned, it has only 25k miles on the clock and a full Ford service history. Some idea of value would be really useful. On the subject of new Galaxy's, I like the new shape ones and prefer to stick with Diesel - which model is the best value for money? Thanks in advance for any assistance given. Mak. Quote
mumof4 Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 welcome Mak...ill give you 20 quid for it :D seriously, with a full service history, very low milaege, you should get quite a bit for it.i am guessing at around the 10k mark if not a lot more. try here, a lot of our members use this site to value their cars. http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/used-prices/ Quote

Rusty Nail Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Hi Mak I tend to agree with gregers on the Mk2 vs Mk3 - until they sort everything out (prob 2010 at least) but if you do want to sell, I will offer mumof4's veccy value - and that was a good valuation from carcraft ....... Welcome to the site - and a great site it is too. stevie m Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 To be honest. A gal with that low miles mak i would keep it, keep up the servicing as you are, get thing repaired if faults occur and don't get a mkIII there seems to be a lot of faults judging by whats on here. Oh mumof4 i'll raise that to 50........ ;) Quote
